The LordGODof hosts,The One who touchesthe landso that it melts,And allthose who dwellin it mourn,And allof it risesup like the NileAnd subsideslike the Nileof Egypt;
He looksat the earth,and it trembles;He touchesthe mountains,and they smoke.
BowYour heavens,O LORD,and comedown;Touchthe mountains,that they may smoke.
Therefore,let everyonewho is godlyprayto You in a timewhen You may be found;Surelyin a floodof greatwatersthey will not reachhim.
The nationsmadean uproar,the kingdomstottered;He raisedHis voice,the earthmelted.
The mountainsmeltedlike waxat the presenceof the LORD,At the presenceof the Lordof the wholeearth.
Oh,that You would rendthe heavens[and] comedown,That the mountainsmight quakeat Your presence--
Howlongis the landto mournAnd the vegetationof the countrysideto wither?For the wickednessof those who dwellin it, Animalsand birdshave been snatchedaway,Because[men] have said,"He will not seeour latterending."
Thereforethe landmourns,And everyonewho livesin it languishesAlong with the beastsof the fieldand the birdsof the sky,And alsothe fishof the seadisappear.
"Becauseof thiswill not the landquakeAnd everyonewho dwellsin it mourn?Indeed, allof it will riseup like the Nile,And it will be tossedaboutAnd subsidelike the Nileof Egypt.
Mountainsquakebecauseof Him And the hillsdissolve;Indeed the earthis upheavedby His presence,The worldand allthe inhabitantsin it.
Whocan standbeforeHis indignation?Whocan endurethe burningof His anger?His wrathis pouredout like fireAnd the rocksare brokenup by Him.
The mountainssawYou [and] quaked;The downpourof waterssweptby. The deeputteredforthits voice,It liftedhighits hands.
"The rainfell,and the floodscame,and the windsblewand slammed againstthat house;and it fell--and greatwas its fall."
ThenI sawa greatwhitethroneand Him who satupon it, from whosepresenceearthand heavenfled away,and noplacewas foundfor them.
