"Thoughthey hideon the summitof Carmel,I will searchthem out and takethem from there;And thoughthey concealthemselves from My sighton the floorof the sea,From thereI will commandthe serpentand it will bitethem.
They heardthe soundof the LORDGodwalkingin the gardenin the coolof the day,and the manand his wifehidthemselves from the presenceof the LORDGodamongthe treesof the garden.
"Foreignersloseheart,And cometremblingout of their fortresses.
"You say,Whatdoes Godknow?Can He judgethroughthe thickdarkness?
"Thereis nodarknessor deepshadowWherethe workersof iniquitymay hidethemselves.
That your footmay shatter[them] in blood,The tongueof your dogs[may have] its portionfrom [your] enemies."
In that daythe LORDwill punishLeviathanthe fleeingserpent,With His fierceand greatand mightysword,EvenLeviathanthe twistedserpent;And He will killthe dragonwho[lives] in the sea.
"Behold,I am going to sendfor manyfishermen,"declaresthe LORD,"and they will fishfor them; and afterwardsI will sendfor manyhunters,and they will huntthem from everymountainand everyhilland from the cleftsof the rocks.
He said,"The LORDroarsfrom ZionAnd from JerusalemHe uttersHis voice;And the shepherds'pasturegroundsmourn,And the summitof Carmeldriesup."
