for we have heardhim saythat thisNazarene,Jesus,will destroythisplaceand alterthe customswhichMoseshanded downto us."
"You will leaveyour namefor a curseto My chosenones,And the LordGODwill slayyou. But My servantswill be calledby anothername.
Then Jeremiahspoketo allthe officialsand to allthe people,saying,"The LORDsentme to prophesyagainstthishouseand againstthiscityallthe wordsthat you have heard.
"Micahof Moreshethprophesiedin the daysof Hezekiahkingof Judah;and he spoketo allthe peopleof Judah,saying,'Thusthe LORDof hostshas said,"Zionwill be plowed[as] a field,And Jerusalemwill becomeruins,And the mountainof the houseas the highplacesof a forest."'
"Then afterthe sixty-twoweeksthe Messiahwill be cutoffand havenothing,and the peopleof the princewho is to comewill destroythe cityand the sanctuary.And its end[will come] with a flood;even to the endthere will be war;desolationsare determined.
For the sonsof Israelwill remainfor manydayswithoutkingor prince,withoutsacrificeor [sacred] pillarand withoutephodor householdidols.
Therefore,on accountof you Zionwill be plowedas a field,Jerusalemwill becomea heapof ruins,And the mountainof the temple[will become] highplacesof a forest.
Openyour doors,O Lebanon,That a firemay feedon your cedars.
For I will gatherallthe nationsagainstJerusalemto battle,and the citywill be captured,the housesplundered,the womenravishedand halfof the cityexiled,but the restof the peoplewill not be cutofffrom the city.
and said,"This manstated,I am ableto destroythe templeof Godand to rebuildit in threedays.'"
"We heardHim say,I will destroythistemplemade with hands,and in threedaysI will buildanothermade without hands.'"
and they will fallby the edgeof the sword,and will be led captiveinto allthe nations;and Jerusalemwill be trampled underfoot by the Gentilesuntilthe timesof the Gentilesare fulfilled.
"[As for] these thingswhichyou are lookingat, the dayswill comein whichthere will not be leftone stoneupon anotherwhichwill not be torn down."
Jesusansweredthem, "Destroythistemple,and in threedaysI will raiseit up."
Jesussaidto her, "Woman,believeMe, an houris comingwhenneitherin thismountainnorin Jerusalemwill you worshipthe Father.
Some mencame downfrom Judeaand [began] teachingthe brethren,"Unlessyou are circumcisedaccording to the customof Moses,you cannotbe saved."
and they have been toldaboutyou, that you are teachingallthe Jewswho are amongthe Gentilesto forsakeMoses,tellingthem not to circumcisetheir childrennorto walkaccording to the customs.
while Paulsaid in his own defense,"I have committednooffenseeitheragainstthe Lawof the Jewsoragainstthe templeoragainstCaesar."
especiallybecause you are an expertin allcustomsand questionsamong[the] Jews;thereforeI begyou to listento me patiently.
AfterthreedaysPaul called togetherthosewho were the leading menof the Jews,and when they came together,he [began] sayingto them, "Brethren,though I had donenothingagainstour peopleorthe customsof our fathers,yet I was deliveredas a prisonerfrom Jerusaleminto the handsof the Romans.
Whythe Lawthen?It was addedbecauseof transgressions,having been ordainedthroughangelsby the agencyof a mediator,untilthe seedwould cometo whomthe promise had been made.
But beforefaithcame,we were kept in custodyunderthe law,being shutup to the faithwhich was laterto be revealed.
