at midday,O King,I sawon the waya lightfrom heaven,brighterthanthe sun,shining all aroundme and thosewho were journeyingwith me.
Then the moonwill be abashedand the sunashamed,For the LORDof hostswill reignon MountZionand in Jerusalem,And [His] glorywill be beforeHis elders.
The lightof the moonwill be as the lightof the sun,and the lightof the sunwill be seventimes[brighter], like the lightof sevendays,on the daythe LORDbindsup the fractureof His peopleand healsthe bruiseHe has inflicted.
And He was transfiguredbeforethem; and His faceshonelikethe sun,and His garmentsbecameas whiteas light.
"But it happenedthat as I was on my way,approachingDamascusaboutnoontime,a very brightlightsuddenlyflashedfrom heavenall aroundme,
"And thosewhowere with me sawthe light,to be sure,but did not understandthe voiceof the One who was speakingto me.
"Whilesoengaged as I was journeyingto Damascuswith the authorityand commissionof the chief priests,
"And when we had allfallento the ground,I hearda voicesayingto me in the Hebrewdialect,'Saul,Saul,whyare you persecutingMe? It is hardfor you to kickagainstthe goads.'
As he was traveling,it happenedthat he was approachingDamascus,and suddenlya lightfrom heavenflashed aroundhim;
In His righthandHe heldsevenstars,and out of His mouthcamea sharptwo-edgedsword;and His facewas likethe sunshiningin its strength.
And the cityhasnoneedof the sunorof the moonto shineon it, for the gloryof Godhas illuminedit, and its lamp[is] the Lamb.
