Now allthe peopletooknote[of it], and it pleasedthem, just as everythingthe kingdidpleasedallthe people.
The handof Godwas alsoon Judahto givethem oneheartto dowhatthe kingand the princescommandedby the wordof the LORD.
Thus the thingwas rightin the sightof the kingand allthe assembly.
Sothey put forwardtwo men,JosephcalledBarsabbas(whowas also calledJustus),and Matthias.
So thenthosewho were scatteredbecauseof the persecutionthat occurredin connectionwith Stephenmade their wayto Phoeniciaand Cyprusand Antioch,speakingthe wordto no oneexceptto Jewsalone.
But there were someof them, menof Cyprusand Cyrene,whocameto Antiochand [began] speakingto the Greeksalso,preachingthe LordJesus.
The newsaboutthem reachedthe earsof the churchat Jerusalem,and they sentBarnabasoffto Antioch.
Nowat thistimesome prophetscame downfrom Jerusalemto Antioch.
and they sent this letterby them, "The apostlesand the brethrenwho are elders,to the brethrenin Antiochand Syriaand Ciliciawhoare from the Gentiles,greetings.
it seemed goodto us, having becomeof one mind,to selectmento sendto you with our belovedBarnabasand Paul,
"Thereforewe have sentJudasand Silas,who themselveswill alsoreportthe same thingsby word[of mouth].
Therefore,being sent on their wayby the church,they were passing throughbothPhoeniciaand Samaria,describing in detailthe conversionof the Gentiles,and were bringinggreatjoyto allthe brethren.
Sowhen they were sent away,they went downto Antioch;and having gatheredthe congregationtogether,they deliveredthe letter.
Judasand Silas,alsobeingprophetsthemselves,encouragedand strengthenedthe brethrenwith a lengthymessage.
But PaulchoseSilasand left,being committedby the brethrento the graceof the Lord.
But when her masterssawthat their hopeof profitwas gone,they seizedPauland Silasand draggedthem into the market placebeforethe authorities,
But aboutmidnightPauland Silaswere prayingand singing hymns of praiseto God,and the prisonerswere listeningto them;
And he calledfor lightsand rushedin, and trembling with fearhe fell down beforePauland Silas,
The brethrenimmediatelysentPauland Silasawayby nightto Berea,and when they arrived,they wentinto the synagogueof the Jews.
Thenimmediatelythe brethrensentPaulout to goas faras the sea;and Silasand Timothyremainedthere.
And someof them were persuadedand joinedPauland Silas,alongwith a largenumberof the God-fearingGreeksand a numberof the leadingwomen.
But whenSilasand Timothycame downfrom Macedonia,Paul[began] devoting himself completelyto the word,solemnly testifyingto the Jewsthat Jesuswas the Christ.
Nowwhen the apostlesin Jerusalemheardthat Samariahad receivedthe wordof God,they sentthem Peterand John,
For the Sonof God,ChristJesus,who was preachedamongyou by us-- by me and Silvanusand Timothy--was not yesand no,but is yesin Him.
