When they reachedSalamis,they [began] to proclaimthe wordof Godin the synagoguesof the Jews;and they alsohadJohnas their helper.
So he returnedfrom followinghim, and tookthe pairof oxenand sacrificedthem and boiledtheir fleshwith the implementsof the oxen,and gave[it] to the peopleand they ate.Then he aroseand followedElijahand ministeredto him.
And he was afraidand aroseand ranfor his lifeand cameto Beersheba,whichbelongs to Judah,and lefthis servantthere.
But Jehoshaphatsaid,"Is therenot a prophetof the LORDhere,that we may inquireof the LORDby him?" And oneof the kingof Israel'sservantsansweredand said,"Elishathe sonof Shaphatis here,whoused to pourwateron the handsof Elijah."
So Mosesarosewith Joshuahis servant,and Moseswentup to the mountainof God.
"It is not this wayamongyou, but whoeverwishesto becomegreatamongyou shall be your servant,
And when he realized[this], he wentto the houseof Mary,the motherof Johnwho was also calledMark,wheremanywere gathered togetherand were praying.
And Barnabasand Saulreturnedfrom Jerusalemwhen they had fulfilledtheir mission,taking alongwith [them] John,who was also calledMark.
But goingon from Perga,they arrivedat PisidianAntioch,and on the Sabbathdaythey wentinto the synagogueand sat down.
Pauland Barnabasspoke out boldlyand said,"It was necessarythat the wordof Godbe spokento you first;sinceyou repudiateit and judgeyourselvesunworthyof eternallife,behold,we are turningto the Gentiles.
In Iconiumthey enteredthe synagogueof the Jewstogether,and spokein such a mannerthat a largenumber of peoplebelieved,bothof Jewsand of Greeks.
Barnabaswantedto takeJohn,calledMark,alongwith them also.
Sohe was reasoningin the synagoguewith the Jewsand the God-fearing[Gentiles], and in the market placeeverydaywith thosewho happened to be present.
And he was reasoningin the synagogueeverySabbathand trying to persuadeJewsand Greeks.
And having sentinto Macedoniatwoof thosewho ministeredto him, Timothyand Erastus,he himselfstayedin Asiafor a while.
The citywas filledwith the confusion,and they rushedwith one accordinto the theater,dragging alongGaiusand Aristarchus,Paul'straveling companionsfrom Macedonia.
And he enteredthe synagogueand continued speaking out boldlyfor threemonths,reasoningand persuading[them] aboutthe kingdomof God.
and immediatelyhe [began] to proclaimJesusin the synagogues,saying,"He is the Sonof God."
Aristarchus,my fellow prisoner,sends you his greetings;and [also] Barnabas'scousinMark(aboutwhomyou receivedinstructions;ifhe comesto you, welcomehim);
