but if[anyone suffers] as a Christian,he is not to be ashamed,but is to glorifyGodin thisname.
Agrippa[replied] to Paul,"In a short timeyou will persuademe to becomea Christian."
As for you, the anointingwhichyou receivedfrom Him abidesin you, and you havenoneedfor anyoneto teachyou; but as His anointingteachesyou aboutall things,and is true and is not a lie,and justas it has taughtyou, you abidein Him.
Ifyou are reviledfor the nameof Christ,you are blessed,becausethe Spiritof gloryand of Godrestson you.
from whomeveryfamilyin heavenand on earthderives its name,

For evenas the bodyis oneand [yet] hasmanymembers,and allthe membersof the body,though they are many,are onebody,soalsois Christ.
For, in the firstplace, when you come togetheras a church,I hearthat divisionsexistamongyou; and in partI believeit.

When they had arrivedand gatheredthe churchtogether,they [began] to reportall thingsthat Godhad donewith them and howHe had openeda doorof faithto the Gentiles.
"Gothereforeand make disciplesof allthe nations,baptizingthem in the nameof the Fatherand the Sonand the HolySpirit,
I adviseyou to buyfrom Me goldrefinedby firesothat you may become rich,and whitegarmentssothat you may clotheyourself, and [that] the shameof your nakednesswill not be revealed;and eye salveto anointyour eyessothat you may see.
When they had appointedeldersfor them in everychurch,having prayedwith fasting,they commendedthem to the Lordin whomthey had believed.
Nowat thistimesome prophetscame downfrom Jerusalemto Antioch.
The newsaboutthem reachedthe earsof the churchat Jerusalem,and they sentBarnabasoffto Antioch.
But there were someof them, menof Cyprusand Cyrene,whocameto Antiochand [began] speakingto the Greeksalso,preachingthe LordJesus.
The statementfound approvalwith the wholecongregation;and they choseStephen,a manfullof faithand of the HolySpirit,and Philip,Prochorus,Nicanor,Timon,Parmenasand Nicolas,a proselytefrom Antioch.
"You will leaveyour namefor a curseto My chosenones,And the LordGODwill slayyou. But My servantswill be calledby anothername.
and bothJesusand His discipleswere invitedto the wedding.
At thistimePeterstoodup in the midstof the brethren(a gatheringof aboutone hundredand twentypersonswas there together),and said,
Nowat thistimewhile the discipleswere increasing[in number], a complaintaroseon the part of the Hellenistic[Jews] againstthe [native] Hebrews,becausetheir widowswere being overlookedin the dailyserving[of food].
and he tookfoodand was strengthened.Nowfor severaldayshe was with the discipleswho were at Damascus,
Since Lyddawas nearJoppa,the disciples,having heardthat Peterwas there,senttwomento him, imploringhim, "Do not delayin comingto us."
And in the proportionthat anyof the discipleshad means,eachof them determinedto send[a contribution] for the reliefof the brethrenlivingin Judea.
But while the disciplesstood aroundhim, he gotup and enteredthe city.The next dayhe went awaywith Barnabasto Derbe.
strengtheningthe soulsof the disciples,encouragingthem to continuein the faith,and [saying], "Throughmanytribulationswe mustenterthe kingdomof God."
And they spenta longtimewith the disciples.
And when he wantedto go acrossto Achaia,the brethrenencouragedhim and wroteto the disciplesto welcomehim; and when he had arrived,he greatlyhelpedthosewho had believedthroughgrace,
But whensomewere becoming hardenedand disobedient,speaking evilof the Waybeforethe people,he withdrewfrom them and took awaythe disciples,reasoningdailyin the schoolof Tyrannus.
Afterthe uproarhad ceased,Paulsentfor the disciples,and when he had exhortedthem and taken his leaveof them, he leftto goto Macedonia.
and from amongyour own selvesmenwill arise,speakingperverse things,to draw awaythe disciplesafterthem.
After lookingup the disciples,we stayedtheresevendays;and they kept tellingPaulthroughthe Spiritnot to set footin Jerusalem.
Do they not blasphemethe fairnameby which you have been called?
