But Petersaid,"By no means,Lord,for I have nevereatenanythingunholyand unclean."
But Lotsaidto them, "Ohno,my lords!
"Not so!Gonow,the men[among you], and servethe LORD,for that is what you desire."So they were drivenout from Pharaoh'spresence.
But I said,"Ah,LordGOD!Behold,I have neverbeendefiled;for from my youthuntilnowI have nevereatenwhatdiedof itself or was tornby beasts,norhas any uncleanmeatever enteredmy mouth."
"The priestsshall not eatanybirdor beastthat has dieda naturaldeathor has been tornto pieces.
But Danielmadeup his mindthat he would not defilehimself with the king'schoicefoodor with the winewhichhe drank;so he sought[permission] from the commanderof the officialsthat he might not defilehimself.
You are therefore to makea distinctionbetweenthe cleananimaland the unclean,and betweenthe uncleanbirdand the clean;and you shall not makeyourselvesdetestableby animalor by birdor by anythingthat creepson the ground,whichI have separatedfor you as unclean.

Petertook Him asideand beganto rebukeHim, saying,"God forbid[it], Lord!Thisshall neverhappento You."
"But the prudentanswered,'No,there will not be enoughfor us and you [too]; goinsteadto the dealersand buy[some] for yourselves.'
And a lepercameto Him and bowed downbefore Him, and said,"Lord,ifYou are willing,You canmake me clean."
and had seenthat someof His discipleswere eatingtheir breadwith impurehands,that is, unwashed.
But his motheransweredand said,"No indeed;but he shall be calledJohn."
She saidto Him, "Sir,You havenothingto drawwith and the wellis deep;wherethendo You getthat livingwater?
A voicecameto him, "Getup, Peter,killand eat!"
And he saidto them, "You yourselvesknowhowunlawfulit is for a manwho is a Jewto associatewith a foreignerorto visithim; and [yet] Godhas shownme that I should not callanymanunholyorunclean.
"And I answered,'Whoare You, Lord?'And He saidto me, 'I amJesusthe Nazarene,whomyou are persecuting.'
And he said,"Whoare You, Lord?"And He [said], "I amJesuswhomyou are persecuting,
