ConsiderwhatI say,for the Lordwill giveyou understandingin everything.
"Onlythe LORDgiveyou discretionand understanding,and giveyou chargeoverIsrael,so that you may keepthe lawof the LORDyour God.
and giveto my sonSolomona perfectheartto keepYour commandments,Your testimoniesand Your statutes,and to do[them] all,and to buildthe temple,for whichI have madeprovision."
I am Your servant;giveme understanding,That I may knowYour testimonies.
Your testimoniesare righteousforever;Giveme understandingthat I may live.Qoph.
Your handsmademe and fashionedme; Giveme understanding,that I may learnYour commandments.
Then allmenwill fear,And they will declarethe workof God,And will considerwhatHe has done.
When I saw,I reflectedupon it; I looked,[and] receivedinstruction.
"An oxknowsits owner,And a donkeyits master'smanger,[But] Israeldoes not know,My peopledo not understand."
For his Godinstructsand teacheshim properly.
Their banquetsare [accompanied] by lyreand harp,by tambourineand flute,and by wine;But they do not payattentionto the deedsof the LORD,Nordo they considerthe workof His hands.
As for thesefouryouths,Godgavethem knowledgeand intelligencein every[branch of] literatureand wisdom;Danieleven understoodall[kinds of] visionsand dreams.
for I will giveyou utteranceand wisdomwhichnoneof your opponentswill be ableto resistorrefute.
ThenHe openedtheir mindsto understandthe Scriptures,
"Let thesewordssinkinto your ears;for the Sonof Manis goingto be deliveredinto the handsof men."
"But the Helper,the HolySpirit,whomthe Fatherwill sendin My name,He will teachyou allthings,and bring to your remembranceallthat I saidto you.
"But whenHe, the Spiritof truth,comes,He will guideyou into allthe truth;for He will not speakon His own initiative,but whateverHe hears,He will speak;and He will discloseto you what is to come.
and rescuedhim from allhis afflictions,and grantedhim favorand wisdomin the sightof Pharaoh,kingof Egypt,and he madehim governoroverEgyptand allhis household.
For to oneis giventhe wordof wisdomthroughthe Spirit,and to anotherthe wordof knowledgeaccordingto the sameSpirit;
"Wouldthat they were wise,that they understoodthis,That they would discerntheir future!
"Knowtherefore today,and takeit to your heart,that the LORD,He is Godin heavenaboveand on the earthbelow;thereis noother.
Finally,brethren,whateveris true,whateveris honorable,whateveris right,whateveris pure,whateveris lovely,whateveris of good repute,ifthere is anyexcellenceand ifanythingworthy of praise,dwellon these things.
For thisreasonalso,sincethe daywe heard[of it], we have not ceasedto prayfor you and to askthat you may be filledwith the knowledgeof His willin allspiritualwisdomand understanding,
Take painswith these things;be [absorbed] in them, sothat your progresswill be evidentto all.
The hard-workingfarmeroughtto be the firstto receive his shareof the crops.
RememberJesusChrist,risenfrom the dead,descendantof David,accordingto my gospel,
For considerHim who has enduredsuchhostilityby sinnersagainstHimself,sothat you will not grow wearyand loseheart.
Rememberthosewho ledyou, whospokethe wordof Godto you; and consideringthe resultof their conduct,imitatetheir faith.
Therefore,holybrethren,partakersof a heavenlycalling,considerJesus,the Apostleand High Priestof our confession;
Nowobservehow greatthis manwas to whomAbraham,the patriarch,gavea tenthof the choicest spoils.
But ifanyof you lackswisdom,let him askof God,who givesto allgenerouslyand withoutreproach,and it will be givento him.
Thiswisdomis not that which comes downfrom above,but is earthly,natural,demonic.
But the wisdomfrom aboveis firstpure,thenpeaceable,gentle,reasonable,fullof mercyand goodfruits,unwavering,without hypocrisy.
And we knowthat the Sonof Godhas come,and has givenus understandingsothat we may knowHim whois true;and we are in Him who is true,in His SonJesusChrist.Thisis the true Godand eternallife.
