Then Zibasaidto the king,"According to allthat my lordthe kingcommandshis servantsoyour servantwill do."So Mephiboshethateat David's tableas oneof the king'ssons.
Then the king'sservantssaidto the king,"Behold,your servants[are ready to do] whatevermy lordthe kingchooses."
There were a thousandmenof Benjaminwith him, with Zibathe servantof the houseof Saul,and his fifteensonsand his twentyservantswith him; and they rushedto the Jordanbeforethe king.
Then Mephibosheththe sonof Saulcamedownto meetthe king;and he had neithercaredfor his feet,nortrimmedhis mustache,norwashedhis clothes,from the daythe kingdeparteduntilthe dayhe came[home] in peace.
So he answered,"O my lord,the king,my servantdeceivedme; for your servantsaid,'I will saddlea donkeyfor myself that I may rideon it and gowith the king,'becauseyour servantis lame.
"You and your sonsand your servantsshall cultivatethe landfor him, and you shall bringin [the produce] so that your master'sgrandsonmay havefood;nevertheless Mephiboshethyour master'sgrandsonshall eatat my tableregularly."Now Zibahad fifteensonsand twentyservants.
Mephiboshethhad a youngsonwhose namewas Mica.And allwho livedin the houseof Zibawere servantsto Mephibosheth.
So Mephiboshethlivedin Jerusalem,for he ateat the king'stableregularly.Now he was lamein bothfeet.
