The kingsaidalso to Zadokthe priest,"Are you [not] a seer?Returnto the cityin peaceand your twosonswith you, your sonAhimaazand Jonathanthe sonof Abiathar.
"Are not Zadokand Abiatharthe priestswith you there?So it shall be that whateveryou hearfrom the king'shouse,you shall reportto Zadokand Abiatharthe priests.
"Beholdtheir twosonsare with them there,Ahimaaz,Zadok'sson and Jonathan,Abiathar'sson; and by them you shall sendme everythingthat you hear."
While he was stillspeaking,behold,Jonathanthe sonof Abiatharthe priestcame.Then Adonijahsaid,"Comein, for you are a valiantmanand bringgoodnews."
Adonijahsacrificedsheepand oxenand fatlingsby the stoneof Zoheleth,whichis besideEn-rogel;and he invitedallhis brothers,the king'ssons,and allthe menof Judah,the king'sservants.
The borderwentup to Debirfrom the valleyof Achor,and turnednorthwardtowardGilgalwhichis oppositethe ascentof Adummim,whichis on the southof the valley;and the bordercontinuedto the watersof En-shemeshand it endedat En-rogel.
The borderwentdownto the edgeof the hillwhichis in the valleyof Ben-hinnom,whichis in the valleyof Rephaimnorthward;and it wentdownto the valleyof Hinnom,to the slopeof the Jebusitesouthward,and wentdownto En-rogel.
