At the endof sevenyears,the womanreturnedfrom the landof the Philistines;and she wentout to appealto the kingfor her houseand for her field.
Now when the womanof Tekoaspoketo the king,she fellon her faceto the groundand prostratedherself and said,"Help,O king."
He saidto him, "Saynowto her, 'Behold,you have beencarefulfor us with allthiscare;whatcan I dofor you? Wouldyou be spokenfor to the kingorto the captainof the army?'"And she answered,"I liveamongmy own people."
As the kingof Israelwas passingby on the walla womancriedout to him, saying,"Help,my lord,O king!"
So the womanaroseand didaccording to the wordof the manof God,and she wentwith her householdand sojournedin the landof the Philistinessevenyears.
Now the kingwas talkingwith Gehazi,the servantof the manof God,saying,"Pleaserelateto me allthe greatthingsthat Elishahas done."
When the kingaskedthe woman,she related[it] to him. So the kingappointedfor her a certainofficer,saying,"Restoreallthat was hers and allthe produceof the fieldfrom the daythat she leftthe landeven untilnow."
"He pledthe causeof the afflictedand needy;Thenit was well.Is not that what it means to knowMe?" Declaresthe LORD.
So she departedfrom the placewhereshe was, and her twodaughters-in-lawwith her; and they wenton the wayto returnto the landof Judah.
