Then they saidto oneanother,"We are not doingright.Thisdayis a dayof good news,but we are keepingsilent;if we waituntilmorninglight,punishmentwill overtakeus. Nowtherefore come,let us goand tellthe king'shousehold."
Howlovelyon the mountainsAre the feetof him who bringsgood news,Who announcespeaceAnd bringsgood newsof happiness,Who announcessalvation,[And] saysto Zion,"Your Godreigns!"
do not [merely] lookout for your ownpersonalinterests, but alsofor the interests of others.
Behold,on the mountainsthe feetof him who bringsgood news,Who announcespeace!Celebrateyour feasts,O Judah;Payyour vows.For neveragainwill the wickedone passthrough you; He is cutoffcompletely.
"Formerly[I said] to Zion,'Behold,herethey are.' And to Jerusalem,'I will givea messengerof good news.'
Now there were fourleprousmenat the entranceof the gate;and they saidto oneanother,"Whydo we sithereuntilwe die?
"But ifyou will not doso,behold,you have sinnedagainst the LORD,and be sureyour sinwill findyou out.
But the angelsaidto them, "Do not be afraid;for behold,I bring you good newsof greatjoywhichwill be for allthe people;
For a righteousmanfallsseventimes,and risesagain, But the wickedstumblein [time of] calamity.
For the Lordhad caused the armyof the Arameansto heara soundof chariotsand a soundof horses,[even] the soundof a greatarmy,so that they saidto oneanother,"Behold,the kingof Israelhas hiredagainstus the kingsof the Hittitesand the kingsof the Egyptians,to comeupon us."
When theseleperscameto the outskirtsof the camp,they enteredonetentand ateand drank,and carriedfrom theresilverand goldand clothes,and wentand hid[them]; and they returnedand enteredanothertentand carriedfrom there[also], and wentand hid[them].
So they cameand calledto the gatekeepersof the city,and they toldthem, saying,"We cameto the campof the Arameans,and behold,therewas noonethere,northe voiceof man,onlythe horsestiedand the donkeystied,and the tentsjustas they were."
Naaman wentin and toldhis master,saying,"Thusand thusspokethe girlwhois from the landof Israel."
