Then he saidto Gehazi,"Girdup your loinsand takemy staffin your hand,and goyour way; ifyou meetanyman,do not salutehim, and ifanyonesalutesyou, do not answerhim; and laymy staffon the lad'sface."
Then the handof the LORDwas on Elijah,and he girdedup his loinsand outranAhabto Jezreel.
He tookthe mantleof Elijahthat fellfrom him and struckthe watersand said,"Whereis the LORD,the Godof Elijah?"And when he alsohad struckthe waters,they were dividedhereand there;and Elishacrossedover.
Elijahtookhis mantleand foldedit togetherand struckthe waters,and they were dividedhereand there,so that the twoof them crossedoveron dryground.
Then he saidto Gehazihis servant,"CallthisShunammite."And when he had calledher, she stoodbeforehim.
Now Elishathe prophetcalledoneof the sonsof the prophetsand saidto him, "Girdup your loins,and takethisflaskof oilin your handand goto Ramoth-gilead.
"As for you, liftup your staffand stretchout your handoverthe seaand divideit, and the sonsof Israelshall gothroughthe midstof the seaon dryland.
"You shall takein your handthisstaff,with whichyou shall performthe signs."
She girdsherselfwith strengthAnd makesher armsstrong.
"Carrynomoney belt,nobag,noshoes;and greetno oneon the way.
sothat handkerchiefsorapronswere evencarriedfrom his bodyto the sick,and the diseasesleftthem and the evilspiritswentout.
"And on the basisof faithin His name,[it is] the nameof Jesus which has strengthenedthisman whomyou seeand know;and the faithwhich [comes] throughHim has givenhim thisperfect healthin the presenceof you all.
Stand firmtherefore,HAVING GIRDEDYOUR LOINSWITH TRUTH,and HAVING PUTON THE BREASTPLATEOF RIGHTEOUSNESS,
Therefore,prepareyour mindsfor action, keep sober[in spirit], fix your hopecompletelyon the graceto be broughtto you at the revelationof JesusChrist.
