The LORDsaidto Jehu,"Becauseyou have donewellin executingwhatis rightin My eyes,[and] have doneto the houseof Ahabaccording to allthat [was] in My heart,your sonsof the fourthgeneration shall siton the throneof Israel."
Allthe peopleof JudahtookAzariah,who[was] sixteenyearsold,and madehim kingin the placeof his fatherAmaziah.
And Jeroboamsleptwith his fathers,even with the kingsof Israel,and Zechariahhis sonbecamekingin his place.
In the twenty-seventhyearof Jeroboamkingof Israel,Azariahsonof Amaziahkingof Judahbecameking.
Shallumsonof Jabeshbecamekingin the thirty-ninthyearof Uzziahkingof Judah,and he reignedone monthin Samaria.
In the thirty-ninthyearof Azariahkingof Judah,Menahemsonof GadibecamekingoverIsrael[and reigned] tenyearsin Samaria.
In the fiftiethyearof Azariahkingof Judah,Pekahiahsonof MenahembecamekingoverIsraelin Samaria,[and reigned] twoyears.
And Azariahsleptwith his fathers,and they buriedhim with his fathersin the cityof David,and Jothamhis sonbecamekingin his place.
He didevilin the sightof the LORD,as his fathershad done;he did not departfrom the sinsof Jeroboamthe sonof Nebat,whichhe made Israelsin.
By the transgressionof a landmanyare its princes,But by a manof understanding[and] knowledge,soit endures.
And the LORDsaidto him, "Namehim Jezreel;for yeta littlewhile,and I will punishthe houseof Jehufor the bloodshedof Jezreel,and I will putan endto the kingdomof the houseof Israel.
"The highplacesof Isaacwill be desolatedAnd the sanctuariesof Israellaidwaste.Then I will riseup againstthe houseof Jeroboamwith the sword."
