Now when he had departedfrom there,he metJehonadabthe sonof Rechab[coming] to meethim; and he greetedhim and saidto him, "Is your heartright,as my heartis with your heart?"And Jehonadabanswered,"It is." [Jehu said], "If it is, give[me] your hand."And he gavehim his hand,and he tookhim up to him into the chariot.
Earlyin the morningLabanarose,and kissedhis sonsand his daughtersand blessedthem. Then Labandepartedand returnedto his place.
And JacobblessedPharaoh,and wentout from his presence.
Then Josephbroughthis fatherJacoband presentedhim to Pharaoh;and JacobblessedPharaoh.
Now the mentookthis as an omen,and quicklycatchinghis word said,"Your brotherBen-hadad."Then he said,"Go,bringhim." Then Ben-hadadcameout to him, and he tookhim up into the chariot.
Jehumetthe relativesof Ahaziahkingof Judahand said,"Whoare you?" And they answered,"We are the relativesof Ahaziah;and we have comedownto greetthe sonsof the kingand the sonsof the queenmother."
He said,"Takethem alive."So they tookthem aliveand killedthem at the pitof Beth-eked,forty-twomen;and he leftnoneof them.
Then Joramsaid,"Getready."And they madehis chariotready.Joramkingof Israeland Ahaziahkingof Judahwentout, eachin his chariot,and they wentout to meetJehuand foundhim in the propertyof Naboththe Jezreelite.
The familiesof scribeswho livedat Jabez[were] the Tirathites,the Shimeathites[and] the Sucathites.Thoseare the Keniteswho camefrom Hammath,the fatherof the houseof Rechab.
They pledgedto putawaytheir wives,and being guilty,[they offered] a ramof the flockfor their offense.
Malchijahthe sonof Rechab,the officialof the districtof Beth-haccheremrepairedthe RefuseGate.He builtit and hungits doorswith its boltsand its bars.
Whowill standup for me againstevildoers?Whowill takehis standfor me againstthose who dowickedness?
"Goto the houseof the Rechabitesand speakto them, and bringthem into the houseof the LORD,into oneof the chambers,and givethem wineto drink."
Now he despisedthe oathby breakingthe covenant,and behold,he pledgedhis allegiance,yet didallthesethings;he shall not escape.'"
And he said,"Well,howcouldI, unlesssomeoneguidesme?" And he invitedPhilipto comeup and sitwith him.
and recognizingthe gracethat had been givento me, Jamesand Cephasand John,who were reputedto be pillars,gaveto me and Barnabasthe right handof fellowship,sothat we [might] [go] to the Gentilesand they to the circumcised.
I begof you, brethren,becomeas I [am], for I also[have become] as you [are]. You have doneme nowrong;
