When Judahturnedaround,behold,they were attackedboth frontand rear;so they criedto the LORD,and the priestsblewthe trumpets.
So Asawentout to meethim, and they drewup in battleformationin the valleyof Zephathahat Mareshah.
Then Asacalledto the LORDhis Godand said,"LORD,thereis noonebesidesYou to help[in the battle] betweenthe powerfuland those who havenostrength;so helpus, O LORDour God,for we trustin You, and in Your namehave comeagainstthismultitude.O LORD,You are our God;let not manprevailagainstYou."
They spokeof the Godof Jerusalemas of the godsof the peoplesof the earth,the workof men'shands.
And the LORDsentan angelwho destroyedeverymightywarrior,commanderand officerin the campof the kingof Assyria.So he returnedin shameto his own land.And when he had enteredthe templeof his god,someof his ownchildrenkilledhim therewith the sword.
Callupon Me in the dayof trouble;I shall rescueyou, and you will honorMe."
