Do not neglectthe spiritual giftwithinyou, whichwas bestowedon you throughprophetic utterancewith the layingon of handsby the presbytery.
And thisthey did,sendingit in chargeof Barnabasand Saulto the elders.
Then,when they had fastedand prayedand laidtheir handson them, they sent them away.
And when Paulhad laidhis handsupon them, the HolySpiritcameon them, and they [began] speakingwith tonguesand prophesying.
as alsothe high priestand allthe Council of the elderscan testify.From them I alsoreceivedlettersto the brethren,and startedoff for Damascusin order to bringeventhosewho were thereto Jerusalemas prisonersto be punished.
And thesethey broughtbeforethe apostles;and after praying,they laidtheir handson them.
Thenthey [began] layingtheir handson them, and they were receivingthe HolySpirit.
Do not quenchthe Spirit;
ThiscommandI entrustto you, Timothy,[my] son,in accordancewith the propheciespreviously madeconcerningyou, that by them you fightthe goodfight,
Take painswith these things;be [absorbed] in them, sothat your progresswill be evidentto all.
The elderswho rulewellare to be considered worthyof doublehonor,especiallythosewho work hardat preachingand teaching.
Do not receivean accusationagainstan elderexcepton the basisof twoorthreewitnesses.
Do not layhandsupon anyone[too] hastilyand therebyshare[responsibility for] the sinsof others;keepyourselffree from sin.
Fightthe goodfightof faith;take holdof the eternallifeto whichyou were called,and you madethe goodconfessionin the presenceof manywitnesses.
For thisreasonI remindyou to kindle afreshthe giftof Godwhichis in you throughthe layingon of my hands.
