Now when he had gone,a lionmethim on the wayand killedhim, and his bodywas thrownon the road,with the donkeystandingbesideit; the lionalso was standingbesidethe body.
It cameabout afterhe had eatenbreadand afterhe had drunk,that he saddledthe donkeyfor him, for the prophetwhomhe had broughtback.
Then he saidto him, "Becauseyou have not listenedto the voiceof the LORD,behold,as soon as you have departedfrom me, a lionwill killyou." And as soon as he had departedfrom him a lionfoundhim and killedhim.
When he lookedbehindhim and sawthem, he cursedthem in the nameof the LORD.Then twofemale bearscameout of the woodsand toreup forty-twoladsof their number.
The sluggardsays,"There is a lionoutside;I will be killedin the streets!"
The sluggardsays,"There is a lionin the road!A lionis in the opensquare!"
As whena manfleesfrom a lionAnd a bearmeetshim, Or goeshome,leanshis handagainstthe wallAnd a snakebiteshim.
"But the donkeysawme and turnedasidefrom me thesethreetimes.Ifshe had not turnedasidefrom me, I would surelyhave killedyou just now,and let her live."
