Beloved,nowwe are childrenof God,and it has not appearedas yetwhatwe will be. We knowthat whenHe appears,we will be likeHim, becausewe will seeHim justas He is.
whowill transformthe bodyof our humble stateinto conformitywith the bodyof His glory,by the exertionof the power that He hasevento subjectall thingsto Himself.
WhenChrist,who is our life,is revealed,thenyou alsowill be revealedwith Him in glory.
But we all,with unveiledface,beholding as in a mirrorthe gloryof the Lord,are being transformedinto the sameimagefrom gloryto glory,justas from the Lord,the Spirit.
For nowwe seein a mirrordimly,but thenfaceto face;nowI knowin part,but thenI will knowfullyjustas I alsohave been fully known.
For those whomHe foreknew,He alsopredestined[to become] conformedto the imageof His Son,sothat He would be the firstbornamongmanybrethren;
As for me, I shall beholdYour facein righteousness;I will be satisfiedwith Your likenesswhen I awake.
Justas we have bornethe imageof the earthy,we will alsobearthe imageof the heavenly.
they will seeHis face,and His name[will be] on their foreheads.
For by theseHe has grantedto us His preciousand magnificentpromises,sothat by them you may becomepartakersof [the] divinenature,having escapedthe corruptionthat is in the worldby lust.
but justas it is written,"THINGS WHICHEYEHAS NOT SEENAND EARHAS NOT HEARD,AND [which] HAVE NOT ENTEREDTHE HEARTOF MAN,ALLTHAT GODHAS PREPAREDFOR THOSEWHO LOVEHIM."
Seehow greata lovethe Fatherhas bestowedon us, that we would be calledchildrenof God;and [such] we are. For thisreasonthe worlddoes not knowus, becauseit did not knowHim.
Becauseyou are sons,Godhas sent forththe Spiritof His Soninto our hearts,crying,"Abba!Father!"
For I considerthat the sufferingsof thispresenttimeare not worthyto be compared with the glorythat is to be revealedto us.
For you are allsonsof Godthroughfaithin ChristJesus.
"Father,I desirethat they also,whomYou have givenMe, be with Me whereI am,sothat they may seeMy glorywhichYou have givenMe, for You lovedMe beforethe foundationof the world.
"Blessedare the purein heart,for they shall seeGod.
Now,little children,abidein Him, sothat whenHe appears,we may haveconfidenceand not shrinkawayfrom Him in shameat His coming.
soChristalso,having been offeredonceto bearthe sinsof many,will appeara second timefor salvationwithout[reference to] sin,to thosewho eagerly awaitHim.
For momentary,lightafflictionis producingfor us an eternalweightof gloryfarbeyondall comparison,
"Even aftermy skinis destroyed,Yet from my fleshI shall seeGod;
Whoeverbelievesthat Jesusis the Christis bornof God,and whoeverlovesthe Fatherlovesthe [child] bornof Him.
Howgreatis Your goodness,WhichYou have storedup for those who fearYou, Which You have wroughtfor those who takerefugein You, Beforethe sonsof men!
To them I will givein My houseand within My wallsa memorial,And a namebetterthanthat of sonsand daughters;I will givethem an everlastingnamewhichwill not be cutoff.
You will makeknownto me the pathof life;In Your presenceis fullnessof joy;In Your righthandthere are pleasuresforever.
"But whocan endurethe dayof His coming?And whocan standwhen He appears?For He is like a refiner'sfireand like fullers'soap.
"It will be justthe sameon the daythat the Sonof Manis revealed.
for they cannotevendieanymore,becausethey are like angels,and are sonsof God,beingsonsof the resurrection.
But as manyas receivedHim, to them He gavethe rightto becomechildrenof God,[even] to thosewho believein His name,
and not for the nationonly,but in orderthat He might alsogather togetherinto onethe childrenof Godwho are scattered abroad.
The SpiritHimselftestifieswith our spiritthat we are childrenof God,
For the anxious longingof the creationwaits eagerlyfor the revealingof the sonsof God.
Beloved,I am not writinga newcommandmentto you, but an oldcommandmentwhichyou have hadfrom the beginning;the oldcommandmentis the wordwhichyou have heard.
By thisthe childrenof Godand the childrenof the devilare obvious:anyonewho does not practicerighteousnessis not of God,northe one who does not lovehis brother.
Beloved,ifour heartdoes not condemnus, we haveconfidencebeforeGod;
and I will givehim the morningstar.
