Therefore He sworeto them That He would castthem downin the wilderness,
Lord,You have beenour dwellingplacein allgenerations.
"ThereforeI sworein My anger,Trulythey shall not enterinto My rest."

"Now the timethat it tookfor us to comefrom Kadesh-barneauntilwe crossedoverthe brookZeredwas thirty-eightyears,untilallthe generationof the menof warperishedfrom withinthe camp,as the LORDhad swornto them.
And with whomwas He angryfor fortyyears?Was it not with thosewhosinned,whosebodiesfellin the wilderness?
NowI desireto remindyou, though you knowall thingsonce for all,that the Lord,after savinga peopleout of the landof Egypt,subsequentlydestroyedthosewho did not believe.
