Then the peoplerejoicedbecausethey had offeredso willingly,for they madetheir offeringto the LORDwith a wholeheart,and KingDavidalsorejoicedgreatly.
"Let your hearttherefore be whollydevotedto the LORDour God,to walkin His statutesand to keepHis commandments,as at thisday."
let the prieststakeit for themselves, eachfrom his acquaintance;and they shall repairthe damagesof the housewhereverany damagemay be found."
So Davidblessedthe LORDin the sightof allthe assembly;and Davidsaid,"Blessedare You, O LORDGodof Israelour father,foreverand ever.
"Since I know,O my God,that You trythe heartand delightin uprightness,I, in the integrityof my heart,have willinglyofferedallthese[things]; so nowwith joyI have seenYour people,who are presenthere,make[their] offeringswillinglyto You.
and nextto him Amasiahthe sonof Zichri,who volunteeredfor the LORD,and with him 200,000valiantwarriors;
Allthe officersand allthe peoplerejoicedand broughtin their levies and dropped[them] into the chestuntilthey had finished.
When Hezekiahand the rulerscameand sawthe heaps,they blessedthe LORDand His peopleIsrael.
Allthose aboutthem encouragedthem with articlesof silver,with gold,with goods,with cattleand with valuables,asidefrom allthat was givenas a freewilloffering.
Your peoplewill volunteerfreelyin the dayof Your power;In holyarray,from the wombof the dawn,Your youthare to You [as] the dew.
The Israelites,allthe menand women,whoseheartmovedthem to bring[material] for allthe work,whichthe LORDhad commandedthroughMosesto be done,broughta freewillofferingto the LORD.
"And when he comeshome,he calls togetherhis friendsand his neighbors,sayingto them, 'Rejoicewith me, for I have foundmy sheepwhich was lost!'
"These thingsI have spokento you sothat My joymay be in you, and [that] your joymay be made full.
For ifthe readinessis present,it is acceptableaccordingto what [a person] has,not accordingto what he does not have.
For I testifythat accordingto their ability,and beyondtheir ability,[they gave] of their own accord,
Therefore,my belovedbrethrenwhom I long[to see], my joyand crown,in this waystand firmin the Lord,my beloved.
But I rejoicedin the Lordgreatly,that nowat lastyou have revivedyour concernfor me; indeed,you were concerned[before], but you lacked opportunity.
"My heart[goes out] to the commandersof Israel,The volunteersamong the people;Blessthe LORD!
