Now it cameabout whenthe kinglivedin his house,and the LORDhad givenhim reston everysidefrom allhis enemies,
even from the daythat I commandedjudgesto be overMy peopleIsrael;and I will giveyou restfrom allyour enemies.The LORDalso declaresto you that the LORDwill makea housefor you.
"I have surelybuiltYou a loftyhouse,A placefor Your dwellingforever."
"But will Godindeeddwellon the earth?Behold,heavenand the highestheavencannotcontainYou, howmuchlessthishousewhichI have built!
"Is not the LORDyour Godwith you? And has He not givenyou reston everyside?For He has giventhe inhabitantsof the landinto my hand,and the landis subduedbeforethe LORDand beforeHis people.
Moreover, Jehoiadaplacedthe officesof the houseof the LORDunder the authorityof the Leviticalpriests,whomDavidhad assignedoverthe houseof the LORD,to offerthe burntofferingsof the LORD,as it is writtenin the lawof Moses--with rejoicingand singingaccordingto the orderof David.
Blessedbe the LORDfrom Zion,Who dwellsin Jerusalem.Praisethe LORD!
Whydo you lookwith envy,O mountainswith [many] peaks,At the mountainwhich Godhas desiredfor His abode?Surelythe LORDwill dwell[there] forever.
You have ascendedon high,You have ledcaptive[Your] captives;You have receivedgiftsamong men,Even [among] the rebelliousalso,that the LORDGodmay dwell[there].
Singpraisesto the LORD,who dwellsin Zion;Declareamong the peoplesHis deeds.
Behold,I and the childrenwhomthe LORDhas givenme are for signsand wondersin Israelfrom the LORDof hosts,who dwellson MountZion.
"[The city shall be] 18,000[cubits] roundabout;and the nameof the cityfrom [that] day[shall be], 'The LORDis there.'"
And I will avengetheir bloodwhich I have not avenged,For the LORDdwellsin Zion.
"Thussaysthe LORD,'I will returnto Zionand will dwellin the midstof Jerusalem.Then Jerusalemwill be calledthe Cityof Truth,and the mountainof the LORDof hosts[will be called] the HolyMountain.'
Orwhatagreementhas the templeof Godwith idols?For we are the templeof the livingGod;justas Godsaid,"I WILL DWELLIN THEM AND WALK AMONGTHEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD,AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.
For in Him allthe fullnessof Deitydwellsin bodily form,
