I shall not die, but I shall live and recount the deeds of the Lord.


He will make your vindication shine like the light and the justice of your cause like the noonday.


Then everyone will fear; they will tell what God has brought about and ponder what he has done.


Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for me.


so that I may recount all your praises and, in the gates of daughter Zion, rejoice in your deliverance.


They lift up their voices; they sing for joy; they shout from the west over the majesty of the Lord.


Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that she has served her term, that her penalty is paid, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.


So the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with rejoicing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.


Listen! Fugitives and refugees from the land of Babylon are coming to declare in Zion the vengeance of the Lord our God, vengeance for his temple.


Therefore hear the plan that the Lord has made against Babylon and the purposes that he has formed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the little ones of the flock shall be dragged away; surely the fold shall be appalled at their fate.
