Plan of Salvation
Plan of Salvation

God loves you; He has a wonderful plan for your life.
This content must be (if possible) read directly from the Bible

The love of God
“For god so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16)

The plan of God
(Christ speaking) “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10) (An abundant life and with purpose)

Why is it that most of people are not experiencing the abundant life? Because...

Man is SINFUL and is SEPARATEDfrom God; for this reason he cannot know or experience the love and the plan of God for his life

Man is sinful
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)

Man was created to have fellowship with God, but because of his stubborn self-will, he chose to go his own independent way, and his fellowship with God was broken. This self-will, characterized by an attitude of active rebellion or passive indifference, is evidence of what the Bible calls sin.

Man is separated from God
“For the wages of sin is death” (this is spiritual separation from God) (Romans 6:23)

God is holy and man is sinful. A great gulf separates them. Man is continually trying to reach God and the abundant life through his own efforts, such as religion, philosophy, good life.

Jesus Christ is God’s ONLY provision for sin. Through Him we can know and experience God’s love and plan for our lives

He died in our place
“God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8)

God is holy and man is sinful. A great gulf separates them. Man is continually trying to reach God and the abundant life through his own efforts, such as religion, philosophy, good life.

He rose from the dead
“Christ died for our sins… He was buried… He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures… He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred” (Corinthians 15:3-6)

He is the only way
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me” (John 14:6)

God has bridged the gulf which separates us from Him by sending Hi Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our place.

We must individually RECEIVE Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord then we can know and experience God’s love and plan for our lives

We must receive Christ
“As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12)

We receive Christ through faith
“By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

We receive Christ by personal invitation
(Christ speaking) “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to Him” (Revelation 3:20)

Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self and trusting Christ to come into our lives to forgive our sins.

  • Prayer is talking to God

God knows your heart and He is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart. The following is a suggested prayer
Lord Jesus, thank you for loving me. I accept that I need you. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Lord and Savior. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person you want me to be. Thank you for forgiving my sins. Thank you for coming into my life and listening to my prayer, according to your promise.

Does this prayer express the desire of your heart?
If it does, then you can pray this prayer right now and Christ will come into your life, as He promised.

How to be sure that Christ dwells in you?
Did you invite Christ to come into your life? According to His promise on Revelation 3:20 “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me,” He says he will come into your life. He wouldn’t lie to us. How could you be sure that God answered your prayer? Because God is Faithful and His word is truthful.

The Bible promises eternal life to all those who receive Christ
“And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life” (1 John 5:11-13)

Be grateful because Christ is in your life and he will never forsake you (Hebrews 13:5) You can be sure that the living Christ lives in you and that you have eternal life since the very moment you invited Him in, trusting in His promise. He won’t deceive you.

If you made this prayer, we will be pleased to know you and to pray for you in this your new life. Please contact us, writing as title “New Believer”

What if I don’t feel anything?

  • Don’t depend on your feelings

Our trust is in God’s promise and not in our feelings. Christians live by faith in God’s faithfulness and His word. A train illustrates the relationship between the fact (God and His Word), faith (our trust in God and His Word) and feelings (the result of faith and obedience) (John 14:21)

A train runs with or without wagons. However, it would be useless for the wagon to try to make the train run. The same way, we as Christians don’t depend on our feelings or emotions, but we put our faith in God faithfulness and the promises in His Word.

  • Now that you have received Christ

In the moment that you, in an act of faith, received Christ, many things happened. Here are some:

    • Christ came in your life (Revelation 3:20; Colossians 1:27)
    • Your sins were forgiven (Colossians 1:14)
    • You have become a Son of God (John 1:12)
    • You started to live the great adventure God created you for (John 10:10; 2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 Thessalonians 5:18)

Can you think of any more extraordinary that had happened to you than receive Christ? Would you like to thank God in a prayer right now for what He’s done for you? The act of thanking God is a demonstration of faith

    Now what?

  • Suggestion for your Christian growth

The spiritual growth is the result of trust in Christ. “The righteous will live by faith” (Galatians 3:11) A life of faith will train you to trust God in every detail of your life to be able to practice:

C onverse with God in prayer everyday (John 15:7)

H and your worries over to God (Psalm 55:22)

R esort to the Bible, studying it daily (Acts 17:11) you can start with the Book of John

I nsist in trusting God in every aspect of your life (1 Peter 5:7)

S eek to be filled with the Spirit of Christ. Allow him to live His life in you (Galatians 5:16-17; Acts 1:8)

T estify about Christ to others (Matthew 4:19; John 15:8)

In the Bible (Hebrews 10:25) we are exhorted “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together”. Christians, as embers of fire, burn when together. When separated, these embers will turn off. If you don’t attend church don’t expect until someone invite you. Show some initiative, call or visit a church member of a nearby church where Christ is exalted and where the Gospel of Jesus is shared. Begin as soon as possible, and make plans to assist regularly.
