How then can a mortal be righteous before God? How can one born of woman be pure?
Though I am innocent, my own mouth would condemn me; though I am blameless, he would prove me perverse.
Do not enter into judgment with your servant, for no one living is righteous before you.
Out of his anguish he shall see; he shall find satisfaction through his knowledge. The righteous one, my servant, shall make many righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities.
It will not be like the covenant that I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt—a covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, says the Lord.
Look at the proud! Their spirit is not right in them, but the righteous live by their faithfulness.
An expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he said, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
And he said to him, “You have given the right answer; do this, and you will live.”
I tell you, this man went down to his home justified rather than the other, for all who exalt themselves will be humbled, but all who humble themselves will be exalted.”
The law indeed was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Very truly, I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and does not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.
All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”
For one believes with the heart, leading to righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, leading to salvation.
For Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
Now we know that, whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world may be held accountable to God.
For no human will be justified before him by deeds prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
For the law brings wrath, but where there is no law, neither is there transgression.
but for ours also. It will be reckoned to us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,
Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Once again I testify to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obliged to obey the entire law.
And every priest stands day after day at his service, offering again and again the same sacrifices that can never take away sins.
For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
