Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.


There are those who are pure in their own eyes, yet are not cleansed of their filthiness.


Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove your evil deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil;


In the Lord all the offspring of Israel shall triumph and glory.


Out of his anguish he shall see; he shall find satisfaction through his knowledge. The righteous one, my servant, shall make many righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities.


O Jerusalem, wash your heart clean of wickedness so that you may be saved. How long shall your evil schemes lodge within you?

by this Jesus everyone who believes is set free from all those sins from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.


And now why do you delay? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.’


to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’


they are now justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,


But to one who does not work but trusts him who justifies the ungodly, such faith is reckoned as righteousness.


Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,


Much more surely, therefore, since we have now been justified by his blood, will we be saved through him from the wrath of God.


And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.


Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.


To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, together with all those who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours:


In contrast, God is why you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption,


You know that when you were gentiles you were enticed and led astray to idols that could not speak.


yet we know that a person is justified not by the works of the law but through the faith of Jesus Christ. And we have come to believe in Christ Jesus, so that we might be justified by the faith of Christ and not by doing the works of the law, because no one will be justified by the works of the law.


Now it is evident that no one is reckoned as righteous before God by the law, for “the one who is righteous will live by faith.”


Therefore the law was our disciplinarian until Christ came, so that we might be reckoned as righteous by faith.


And the scripture, foreseeing that God would reckon as righteous the gentiles by faith, declared the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “All the gentiles shall be blessed in you.”


in order to make her holy by cleansing her with the washing of water by the word,


for once you were darkness, but now in the Lord you are light. Walk as children of light,


But we must always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the first fruits for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and through belief in the truth.


let us approach with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.


How much worse punishment do you think will be deserved by those who have spurned the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant by which they were sanctified, and outraged the Spirit of grace?


For the one who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father. For this reason Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters,


who have been chosen and destined by God the Father and sanctified by the Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ and to be sprinkled with his blood: May grace and peace be yours in abundance.


Now that you have purified your souls by your obedience to the truth so that you have genuine mutual affection, love one another deeply from the heart.


And baptism, which this prefigured, now saves you—not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,


I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven on account of his name.


and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and freed us from our sins by his blood


I said to him, “Sir, you are the one who knows.” Then he said to me, “These are they who have come out of the great ordeal; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
