9 Woe to thee Moab: thou art undone, O people of Chamos. He hath given his sons to flight, and his daughters into captivity to Sehon the king of the Amorrhites.


4 Build therefore cities for your children, and folds and stalls for your sheep and beasts, and accomplish what you have promised.


7 But the children of Ruben built Hesebon, and Eleale, and Cariathaim,


8 And Nabo, and Baalmeon (their names being changed) and Sabama: giving names to the cities which they had built.


9 As the children of Esau have done, that dwell in Seir, and the Moabites, that abide in Ar: until we come to the Jordan, and pass to the land which the Lord our God will give us.


7 Except the land of the children of Ammon, to which we approached not: and all that border upon the torrent Jeboc, and the cities in the mountains, and all the places which the Lord our God forbade us.


And we utterly destroyed them, as we had done to Sehon the king of Hesebon, destroying every city, men and women and children:


9 All the plain beyond the Jordan at the east side, unto the see of the wilderness, and unto the foot of mount Phasga.


The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.


He spoke to us face to face in the mount out of the midst of fire.


And it was told the king of Jericho, and was said : Behold there are men come in hither, by night, of the children of Israel, to spy the land.


2 He left not any of the stock of the Enacims, in the land of the children of Israel: except the cities of Gaza, and Geth, and Azotus, in which alone they were left.


And the Lord delivered them into the hands of Israel. And they defeated them, and chased them as far as the great Sidon, and the waters of Maserophot, and the field of Masphe, which is on the east side thereof. He slew them all, so as to leave no remains of them:


3 And the children of Israel would not destroy Gessuri and Machati: and they have dwelt in the midst of Israel, until this present day.


So the children of Ruben, and the children of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasses returned, and parted from the children of Israel in Silo, which is in Chanaan, to go into Galaad the land of their possession, which they had obtained according to the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.


3 So the Lord the God of Israel destroyed the Amorrhite, his people of Israel fighting against him, and wilt thou now possess this land?
