can number thy wrath? So make thy right hand known: and men learned in heart, in wisdom.


And it shall come to pass that, as a bird fleeing away, and as young ones flying out of the nest, so shall the daughters of Moab be in the passage of Arnon.


Which they left and encamped over against Arnon, which is in the desert and standeth out on the borders of the Amorrhite. For Arnon is the border of Moab, dividing the Moabites and the Amorrhites.


And Israel sent messengers to Sehon king of the Amorrhites, saying:


And he was slain by them with the edge of the sword: and they possessed his land from the Arnon unto the Jeboc, and to the confines of the children of Ammon. For the borders of the Ammonites were kept with a strong garrison.


Neither will we seek any thing beyond the Jordan, because we have already our possession on the east side thereof.


We will go armed before the Lord into the land of Chanaan: and we confess that we have already received our possession beyond the Jordan.


Moses therefore gave to the children of Gad and of Ruben, and to the half tribe of Manasses, the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sehon king of the Amorrhites, and the kingdom of Og king of Basan, and their land and the cities thereof round about.


Arise ye, and pass the torrent Arnon: Behold, I have delivered into thy hand Sehon king of Hesebon the Amorrhite. And begin thou to possess his land and make war against him.


And Sehon came out to meet us with all his people to fight at Jasa.


Then we turned and went by the way of Basan: and Og the king of Basan came out to meet us with his people to fight in Edrai.


This is the law, that Moses set before the children of Israel.


Beyond the Jordan in the valley over against the temple of Phogor in the land of Sehon king of the Amorrhites, that dwelt in Hesebon, whom Moses slew. And the children of Israel coming out of Egypt,


From Aroer, which is situate upon the bank of the torrent Arnon, unto mount Sion, which is also called Hermon,


Until the Lord give rest to your brethren as he hath given you, and they also possess the land which the Lord your God will give them. And so you shall return the land of your possession, and you shall dwell in it, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave you beyond the Jordan, toward the rising of the sun.


And part of the mountain that goeth up to Seir as far as Baalgad, by the plain of Libanus under mount Hermon. All their kings he took, smote and slew.


To the Chanaanites also on the ease and on the west, and the Amorrhite, and the Hethite, and the Pherezite, and the Jebusite in the mountains: to the Hevite also who dwelt at the foot of Hermon in the land of Maspha.


With whom Ruben and Gad have possessed the land, which Moses the servant of the Lord delivered to them beyond the river Jordan, on the east side.


Therefore, as the Lord your God hath given your brethren rest and peace, as he promised, return, and go to your dwellings, and to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave you beyond the Jordan.


And went round the land of Edom at the side, and the land of Moab: and came over against the east coast of the land of Moab: and camped on the other side of the Arnon. And he would not enter the bounds of Moab, for the Arnon is the border of the lands of Moab.
