And Ḥamor, the father of Sheḵem, went out to Ya‛aqoḇ to speak with him.
But Ḥamor spoke with them, saying, “My son Sheḵem’s being longs for your daughter. Please give her to him for a wife.
His sons and his sons’ sons, his daughters and his sons’ daughters, and all his seed he brought with him to Mitsrayim.
And Sovereign Dawiḏ heard all these reports, and he was very wroth.
Your witnesses have been very trustworthy. Set-apartness befits Your house, O יהוה, forever.
And I saw among the simple, I perceived among the youths, A young man lacking heart,

Flee whoring. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits whoring sins against his own body.

Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: whoring, uncleanness, passion, evil desire and greed of gain, which is idolatry.
Moreover, they learn to be idle, going about from house to house, and not only idle but also gossips and busybodies, speaking what is improper.
Let marriage be respected by all, and the bed be undefiled. But Elohim shall judge those who whore, and adulterers.
Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brothers, this should not be so.
And it shall be that he who is taken with that which is under the ban is burned with fire, he and all that he has, because he has transgressed the covenant of יהוה, and because he has committed wickedness in Yisra’ĕl.’ ”
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a set-apart nation, a people for a possession, that you should proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light,
“Then I took my concubine, and cut her in pieces, and sent her throughout all the land of the inheritance of Yisra’ĕl, because they committed wickedness and folly in Yisra’ĕl.
