And יהוה said, “Because the outcry against Seḏom and Amorah is great, and because their sin is very heavy,


And all the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl grumbled against Mosheh and Aharon in the wilderness.


Do not follow a crowd to do evil, nor bear witness in a strife so as to turn aside after many, to turn aside what is right.


For they do not sleep unless they have done evil. And their sleep is taken away unless they make someone fall.


A heart devising wicked schemes, Feet quick to run to evil,


The prophets have prophesied falsely, and the priests rule by their own hand, and My people have loved it so. And what are you going to do at the end of it?


Both hands are on the evil, to do it well. The prince asks for gifts, the judge seeks a bribe, and the great man speaks the desire of his being. And they weave it together.


“Their feet are swift to shed blood,


They were making their hearts glad, and see, men of the city, sons of Beliya‛al, surrounded the house, beating on the door. And they spoke to the master of the house, the old man, saying, “Bring out the man who came to your house, so that we know him!”
