“O יהוה Elohim of Aḇraham, Yitsḥaq, and Yisra’ĕl, our fathers, guard this forever in the intent of the thoughts of the heart of Your people, and prepare their heart toward You.
And he did evil, because he did not prepare his heart to seek יהוה.
“But good matters are found in you, in that you have removed the Ashĕroth from the land, and have prepared your heart to seek Elohim.”
And Ḥizqiyahu spoke to the heart of all the Lĕwites, those having good understanding concerning יהוה. So they ate during the appointed time, seven days, slaughtering slaughterings of peace offerings and making confession to יהוה Elohim of their fathers.
And this is the copy of the letter that Sovereign Artaḥshashta gave Ezra the priest, the scribe, a scribe in the words of the commands of יהוה, and of His laws to Yisra’ĕl:
And you, Ezra, according to the wisdom of your Elah that is in your hand, appoint magistrates and judges to judge all the people who are beyond the River, all such as know the laws of your Elah. And teach those who do not know them.
this Ezra came up from Baḇel. And he was a scribe, skilled in the Torah of Mosheh, which יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl had given. And the sovereign gave him all he asked, according to the hand of יהוה his Elohim upon him.
If you would prepare your heart, and stretch out your hands toward Him;
But his delight is in the Torah of יהוה, And he meditates in His Torah day and night.
Taw יהוה, You have heard the desire of the lowly ones; You prepare their heart; You incline Your ear,
The Torah of יהוה is perfect, bringing back the being; The witness of יהוה is trustworthy, making wise the simple;
“For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and they seek the Torah from his mouth, for he is the messenger of יהוה of hosts.
“Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens.
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does them, shall be like a wise man who built his house on the rock,
The first account I made, O Theophilos, of all that יהושע began both to do and to teach,
“And you shall remember that you were a slave in Mitsrayim, and you shall guard and do these laws.
“They teach Your right-rulings to Ya‛aqoḇ, and Your Torah to Yisra’ĕl. They put incense before You, and a complete ascending offering on Your slaughter-place.
An overseer, then, should be blameless, the husband of one wife, sober, sensible, orderly, kind to strangers, able to teach,
Proclaim the Word! Be urgent in season, out of season. Convict, warn, appeal, with all patience and teaching.
Speak these matters, urge, and convict with all authority. Let no one despise you.
“Blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city.
And Shemu’ĕl spoke to all the house of Yisra’ĕl, saying, “If you return to יהוה with all your hearts, then put away the foreign mighty ones and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts for יהוה, and serve Him only, so that He delivers you from the hand of the Philistines.”
