“O יהוה Elohim of Aḇraham, Yitsḥaq, and Yisra’ĕl, our fathers, guard this forever in the intent of the thoughts of the heart of Your people, and prepare their heart toward You.
“But good matters are found in you, in that you have removed the Ashĕroth from the land, and have prepared your heart to seek Elohim.”
Only, the high places were not taken away, for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts for the Elohim of their fathers.
And the children of Yisra’ĕl who had returned from the exile ate together with all who had separated themselves from the uncleanness of the nations of the land in order to seek יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl.
For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Torah of יהוה, and to do it, and to teach laws and right-rulings in Yisra’ĕl.
