In the twenty-seventh year of Asa sovereign of Yehuḏah, Zimri reigned seven days in Tirtsah. And the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines.


And Omri went up, and all Yisra’ĕl with him, from Gibbethon, and they besieged Tirtsah.


And Aḥaḇ son of Omri did evil in the eyes of יהוה, more than all those before him.


Aḥazyahu was twenty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Yerushalayim. And the name of his mother was Athalyahu, the granddaughter of Omri, sovereign of Yisra’ĕl.


Aḥazyahu was forty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Yerushalayim one year. And his mother’s name was Athalyahu the granddaughter of Omri.


“For the laws of Omri are strictly observed, and all the works of the house of Aḥab, and you walk in their counsels. Therefore I give you for a ruin, and your inhabitants for a hissing, and let you bear the reproach of My people.”
