And some from Menashsheh went over to Dawiḏ when he was going with the Philistines to battle against Sha’ul. But they did not help them, for the princes of the Philistines took advice and sent him away, saying, “He might go over to his master Sha’ul with our heads!”
And they helped Dawiḏ against the raiding bands, for they were all mighty brave men, and they were commanders in the army.
But you yourself, seek out from all the people able men, who fear Elohim, men of truth, hating unfair gain. And place these over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.
