4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Also I saw the souls of those who had been slain with axes [beheaded] for their witnessing to Jesus and [for preaching and testifying] for the Word of God, and who had refused to pay homage to the beast or his statue and had not accepted his mark or permitted it to be stamped on their foreheads or on their hands. and thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.


that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.


Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.


For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?


and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.


if we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.


And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.


And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:


saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
