And David spake unto the LORD when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father's house.


But he knoweth the way that I take: When he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.


Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, Yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.


Plead my cause, and deliver me: Quicken me according to thy word.


And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, And thy judgment as the noonday.


Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.


Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: And awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
