I am a stranger and a sojourner with you: give me a possession of a buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.


And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.


And Naboth said to Ahab, The LORD forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee.


For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.


then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.


I am a stranger in the earth: Hide not thy commandments from me.


The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; The world, and they that dwell therein.


Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; Hold not thy peace at my tears: For I am a stranger with thee, And a sojourner, as all my fathers were.


O spare me, that I may recover strength, Before I go hence, and be no more.


LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: Thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.


Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:


And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.


and he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.


And they shall not sell of it, neither exchange, nor alienate the firstfruits of the land: for it is holy unto the LORD.


They shall not dwell in the LORD's land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.


Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.


I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.


And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.


And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.


Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: For he will avenge the blood of his servants, And will render vengeance to his adversaries, And will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.


Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
