And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; Wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.


The hoary head is a crown of glory, If it be found in the way of righteousness.


The glory of young men is their strength: And the beauty of old men is the grey head.


Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, And despise not thy mother when she is old.


And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.


Princes are hanged up by their hand: The faces of elders were not honoured.


Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD.


Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.


Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;


Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
