My spirit shall be wasted; my days shall be shortened: and only the grave remaineth for me.


Put forth thy hand from on high, take me out, and deliver me from many waters: from the hand of strange children:


A psalm for David, at the finishing of the tabernacle. Bring to the Lord, O ye children of God: bring to the Lord the offspring of rams.


And thou hast not shut me up in the hands of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a spacious place.


Despised and the most abject of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with infirmity: and his look was as it were hidden and despised. Whereupon we esteemed him not.


He. He hath filled me with bitterness, he hath inebriated me with wormwood.


And when I shall bring thee down with those that descend into the pit, to the everlasting people, and shall set thee in the lowest parts of the earth, as places desolate of old, with them that are brought down into the pit, that thou be not inhabited: and when I shall give glory in the land of the living,


The waters compassed me about even to the soul: the deep hath closed me round about, the sea hath covered my head.


For why did Christ, when as yet we were weak, according to the time, die for the ungodly?


But we had in ourselves the answer of death, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raiseth the dead.


For although he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him: but we shall live with him by the power of God towards you.
