That I may make thee swear by the Lord the God of heaven and earth, that thou take not a wife for my son of the daughters of the Chanaanites, among whom I dwell:


And my master made me swear, saying: Thou shalt not take a wife for my son of the Chanaanites, in whose land I dwell.


And Rebecca said to Isaac: I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth. If Jacob take a wife of the stock of this land, I choose not to live.


And he turned his name, and called him in the Egyptian tongue, The saviour of the world. And he gave him to wife Asenth, the daughter of Putiphare priest of Heliopolis. Then Joseph went out to the land of Egypt:


And the priest of Madian had seven daughters, who came to draw water: and when the troughs were filled, desired to water their father's flocks.


And Moses swore that he would dwell with him. And he took Sephora his daughter to wife.


Neither shalt thou take of their daughters a wife for thy son: lest after they themselves have committed fornication, they make thy sons also to commit fornication with their gods.


But a widow or one that is divorced, or defiled, or a harlot, he shall not take: but a maid of his own people.


But yet all the men that have seen my majesty, and the signs that I have done in Egypt, and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now ten times, and have not obeyed my voice,


Rose up against Moses: and with them two hundred and fifty others of the children of Israel, leading men of the synagogue, and who in the time of assembly were called by name.


Who had to wife Jochabed the daughter of Levi, who was born to him in Egypt. She bore to her husband Amram sons, Aaron and Moses, and Mary their sister.


And as a man's enemies shall be they of his own household.


But he answering him that told him, said: Who is my mother, and who are my brethren?


Remember my word that I said to you: The servant is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have kept my word, they will keep yours also.


For neither did his brethren believe in him.


Am I then become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
