And the priests and the Levites purified: and they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.


And the two choirs of them that gave praise stood still at the house of God: and I and the half of the magistrates with me.


And one of the sons of Joiada the son of Eliasib the high priest, was son-in-law to Sanaballat the Horonite: and I drove him from me.


And over this thing was Eliasib the priest, who was set over the treasury of the house of our God, and was near akin to Tobias.


After him, in the mount, Baruch the son of Zachai built another measure, from the corner to the door of the house of Eliasib the high priest.


After him Merimuth the son of Urias the son of Haccus built another measure, from the door of the house of Eliasib, to the end of the house of Eliasib.


And it came to pass, when Sanaballat, and Tobias, and Gossem the Arabian, and the rest of our enemies, heard that I had built the wall, and that there was no breach left in it (though at that time I had not set up the doors in the gates):


Now after the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and numbered the porters and singing men, and Levites:


Unto the end, a psalm for David, in an ecstasy.


and their sepulchres shall be their houses for ever. Their dwelling places to all generations: they have called their lands by their names.


In all thy ways think on him, and he will direct thy steps.


Honour the Lord with thy substance, and give him of the first of all thy fruits:


Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the city shall be built to the Lord from the tower of Hanameel even to the gate of the corner.


And all the land shall return even to the desert, from the hill to Remmon to the south of Jerusalem: and she shall be exalted, and shall dwell in her own place, from the gate of Benjamin even to the place of the former gate, and even to the gate of the corners: and from the tower of Hananeel even to the king's winepresses.


Now there is at Jerusalem a pond, called Probatica, which in Hebrew is named Bethsaida, having five porches.


And the captains shall proclaim through every band in the hearing of the army: What man is there, that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.
