Blessed is the man that heareth me, and that watcheth daily at my gates, and waiteth at the posts of my doors.


AND entering into a boat, he passed over the water and came into his own city.


David therefore himself calleth him Lord, and whence is he then his son? And a great multitude heard him gladly.


And when Jesus had passed again in the ship over the strait, a great multitude assembled together unto him, and he was nigh unto the sea.


For Herod feared John, knowing him to be a just and holy man: and kept him, and when he heard him, did many things: and he heard him willingly.


And they found not what to do to him: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.


And he made haste and came down; and received him with joy.


AND it came to pass, that when the multitudes pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Genesareth,


Return to thy house, and tell how great things God hath done to thee. And he went through the whole city, publishing how great things Jesus had done to him.


He was a burning and a shining light: and you were willing for a time to rejoice in his light.


Immediately therefore I sent to thee: and thou hast done well in coming. Now therefore all we are present in thy sight, to hear all things whatsoever are commanded thee by the Lord.
