adore ye the Lord in his holy court. Let all the earth be moved at his presence.


AND there came to him the Pharisees and Sadducees tempting: and they asked him to shew them a sign from heaven.


But Jesus knowing their wickedness, said: Why do you tempt me, ye hypocrites?


And being upon the watch, they sent spies, who should feign themselves just, that they might take hold of him in his words, that they might deliver him up to the authority and power of the governor.


Is it lawful for us to give tribute to Caesar, or no?


Shew me a penny. Whose image and inscription hath it? They answering, said to him, Caesar's.


And when Jesus knew their thoughts, answering, he said to them: What is it you think in your hearts?


But he knew their thoughts; and said to the man who had the withered hand: Arise, and stand forth in the midst. And rising he stood forth.


Said: O full of all guile, and of all deceit, child of the devil, enemy of all justice, thou ceasest not to pervert the right ways of the Lord.


Neither let us tempt Christ: as some of them tempted, and perished by the serpents.


For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written: I will catch the wise in their own craftiness.


That henceforth we be no more children tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the wickedness of men, by cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive


Neither is there any creature invisible in his sight: but all things are naked and open to his eyes, to whom our speech is.
