Seven days shalt thou expiate the altar and sanctify it: and it shall be most holy. Every one that shall touch it shall be holy.


And when they shall go forth to the outward court to the people, they shall put off their garments wherein they ministered, and lay them up in the store chamber of the sanctuary, and they shall clothe themselves with other garments: and they shall not sanctify the people with their vestments.


But the calf and the buck-goat, that were sacrificed for sin, and whose blood was carried into the sanctuary, to accomplish the atonement, they shall carry forth without the camp, and shall burn with fire: their skins and their flesh, and their dung.


And they shall be Aaron's and his sons', that they may eat them in the holy place: because it is most holy of the sacrifices of the Lord by a perpetual right.


And the rest of the body he shall carry forth without the camp into a clean place where the ashes are wont to be poured out; and he shall burn them upon a pile of wood. They shall be burnt in the place where the ashes are poured out.


But the calf itself he shall carry forth without the camp, and shall burn it as he did the former calf: because it is for the sin of the multitude.


The priest shall be vested with the tunick and the linen breeches; and he shall take up the ashes of that which the devouring fire hath burnt: and putting them beside the altar,


And the fire on the altar shall always burn, and the priest shall feed it, putting wood on it every day in the morning, and laying on the holocaust, shall burn thereupon the fat of the peace-offerings.


This is the oblation of Aaron, and of his sons, which they must offer to the Lord, in the day of their anointing. They shall offer the tenth part of an ephi of flour for a perpetual sacrifice, half of it in the morning, and half of it in the evening.


And the priest that rightfully succeedeth his father shall offer it hot, for a most sweet odour to the Lord: and it shall be wholly burnt on the altar.


Every male of the priestly race shall eat this flesh in a holy place, because it is most holy.
