I will not accept the person of man: and I will not level God with man.


Who accepteth not the persons of princes: nor hath regarded the tyrant, when he contended against the poor man. For all are the work of his hands.


He said the word, and there arose a storm of wind: and the waves thereof were lifted up.


Their infirmities were multiplied: afterwards they made haste. I will not gather together their meetings for blood offerings: nor will I be mindful of their names by my lips.


He bowed the heavens, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.


They said in their heart, the whole kindred of them together: Let us abolish all the festival days of God from the land.


He that hath respect to a person in judgment, doth not well: such a man even for a morsel of bread forsaketh the truth.


And they that erred in spirit shall know understanding: and they that murmured shall learn the law.


Thou shalt not do that which is unjust, nor judge unjustly. Respect not the person of the poor: nor honour the countenance of the mighty. But judge thy neighbour according to justice.


Therefore all the men, whom Moses had sent to view the land, and who at their return had made the whole multitude to murmur against him, speaking ill of the land that it was naught,


And that all thy company should stand against the Lord? For what is Aaron that you murmur against him?


The following day all the multitude of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron, saying: You have killed the people of the Lord.


And the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying: This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.


And when all saw it, they murmured, saying, that he was gone to be a guest with a man that was a sinner.


But the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying to his disciples: Why do you eat and drink with publicans and sinners?


The Jews therefore murmured at him, because he had said: I am the living bread which came down from heaven.


Many therefore of his disciples, hearing it, said: This saying is hard, and who can hear it?


Neither do you murmur: as some of them murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer.


I say then, walk in the spirit, and you shall not fulfil the lusts of the flesh.


And they that are Christ's, have crucified their flesh, with the vices and concupiscences.


You murmured in your tents, and said: The Lord hateth us, and therefore he hath brought us out of the land of Egypt, that he might deliver us into the hand of the Amorrhite, and destroy us.


And do ye all things without murmurings and hesitations;


Not in the passion of lust, like the Gentiles that know not God:


Conflicts of men corrupted in mind, and who are destitute of the truth, supposing gain to be godliness.


For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears:


As children of obedience, not fashioned according to the former desires of your ignorance:


Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, to refrain yourselves from carnal desires which war against the soul,


That now he may live the rest of his time in the flesh, not after the desires of men, but according to the will of God.


And especially them who walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government, audacious, self willed, they fear not to bring in sects, blaspheming.


For, speaking proud words of vanity, they allure by the desires of fleshly riotousness, those who for a little while escape, such as converse in error:


Knowing this first, that in the last days there shall come deceitful scoffers, walking after their own lusts,


To execute judgment upon all, and to reprove all the ungodly for all the works of their ungodliness, whereby they have done ungodly, and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against God.


Who told you, that in the last time there should come mockers, walking according to their own desires in ungodlinesses.
