Jesus said to him: The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.


Jesus answered: Are there not twelve hours of the day? If a man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world:


Art thou greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?


He cometh therefore to a city of Samaria, which is called Sichar, near the land which Jacob gave to his son Joseph.


There cometh a woman of Samaria, to draw water. Jesus saith to her: Give me to drink.


For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that being rich he became poor, for your sakes; that through his poverty you might be rich.


Wherefore it behoved him in all things to be made like unto his brethren, that he might become a merciful and faithful priest before God, that he might be a propitiation for the sins of the people.


For we have not a high priest, who can not have compassion on our infirmities: but one tempted in all things like as we are, without sin.
