Thou shalt not adore them, nor serve them. I am the Lord thy God, mighty, jealous, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me:


But he that shall sin against me, shall hurt his own soul. All that hate me love death.


The blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead rise again, the poor have the gospel preached to them.


For John came to you in the way of justice, and you did not believe him. But the publicans and the harlots believed him: but you, seeing it, did not even afterwards repent, that you might believe him.


And after the devil was cast out, the dumb man spoke, and the multitudes wondered, saying, Never was the like seen in Israel.


And immediately he arose; and taking up his bed, went his way in the sight of all; so that all wondered and glorified God, saying: We never saw the like.


To whom he said: What things? And they said: Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet, mighty in work and word before God and all the people;


Jesus answered them: Many good works I have shewed you from my Father; for which of these works do you stone me?


If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.


But the chief priests thought to kill Lazarus also:


And he that seeth me, seeth him that sent me.


Jesus saith to him: Have I been so long a time with you; and have you not known me? Philip, he that seeth me seeth the Father also. How sayest thou, Shew us the Father?


But all these things they will do to you for my name's sake: because they know not him who sent me.


If I had not come, and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.


He that hateth me, hateth my Father also.


Of sin: because they believed not in me.


This man came to Jesus by night, and said to him: Rabbi, we know that thou art come a teacher from God; for no man can do these signs which thou dost, unless God be with him.


But I have a greater testimony than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to perfect; the works themselves, which I do, give testimony of me, that the Father hath sent me.


But I said unto you, that you also have seen me, and you believe not.


But of the people many believed in him, and said: When the Christ cometh, shall he do more miracles, than these which this man doth?


From the beginning of the world it hath not been heard, that any man hath opened the eyes of one born blind.


Jesus said to them: If you were blind, you should not have sin: but now you say: We see. Your sin remaineth.


Jesus of Nazareth: how God anointed him with the Holy Ghost, and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.


Ye men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you, by miracles, and wonders, and signs, which God did by him, in the midst of you, as you also know:


Detractors, hateful to God, contumelious, proud, haughty, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,


Thou shalt not adore them: and thou shalt not serve them. For I am the Lord thy God, a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon their children unto the third and fourth generation, to them that hate me:


Traitors, stubborn, puffed up, and lovers of pleasures more than of God:


Adulterers, know you not that the friendship of this world is the enemy of God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of this world, becometh an enemy of God.
