And I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.


Moreover Manasses shed also very much innocent blood, till he filled Jerusalem up to the mouth: besides his sins, wherewith he made Juda to sin, to do evil before the Lord.


For we are bondmen, and in our bondage our God hath not forsaken us, but hath extended mercy upon us before the king of the Persians, to give us life, and to set up the house of our God, and rebuild the desolations thereof, and to give us a fence in Juda and Jerusalem.


Remember these things, O Jacob, and Israel, for thou art my servant. I have formed thee: thou art my servant. O Israel, forget me not.


But I am the Lord thy God, who trouble the sea, and the waves thereof swell. The Lord of hosts is my name.


And they shall call them: The Holy People, The Redeemed of the Lord. But thou shalt be called: A city sought after and not forsaken.


Hast thou utterly cast away Juda, or hath thy soul abhorred Sion? Why then hast thou struck us, so that there is no healing for us? We have looked for peace, and there is no good: and for the time of healing, and, behold, trouble.


Why wilt thou be as a wandering man, as a mighty man that cannot save? But thou, O Lord, art among us, and thy name is called upon by us: forsake us not.


And I will repay first their double iniquities and their sins: because they have defiled my land with the carcasses of their idols, and they have filled my inheritance with their abominations.


Because they have forsaken me and have profaned this place and have sacrificed therein to strange gods, whom neither they nor their fathers knew, nor the kings of Juda. And they have filled this place with the blood of innocents.


Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts to the prophets: Behold, I will feed them with wormwood and I will give them gall to drink: for from the prophets of Jerusalem corruption is gone forth into all the land.


Thus saith the Lord: If the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I also will cast away all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord.


And thou, my servant Jacob, fear not, saith the Lord: because I am with thee. For I will consume all the nations to which I have cast thee out: but thee I will not consume. But I will correct thee in judgment: neither will I spare thee, as if thou wert innocent.


In those days and at that time, saith the Lord, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none: and the sin of Juda, and there shall none be found: for I will be merciful to them whom I shall leave.


The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he that made all things he it is, and Israel is the sceptre of his inheritance: the Lord of hosts is his name.


And he said to me: Surely thou hast seen, O son of man. Is this a light thing to the house of Juda, that they should commit these abominations which they have committed here: because they have filled the land with iniquity and have turned to provoke me to anger? And, behold, they put a branch to their nose.


And he said to me: The iniquity of the house of Israel and of Juda is exceeding great, and the land is filled with blood, and the city is filled with perverseness. For they have said: The Lord hath forsaken the earth, and, the Lord seeth not.


And the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, that is without measure, and shall not be numbered. And it shall be in the place where it shall be said to them: You are not my people: it shall be said to them: Ye are the sons of the living God.


Say ye to your brethren: You are my people, and to your sister: Thou hast obtained mercy.


Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born: and I will make her as a wilderness, and will set her as a land that none can pass through, and will kill her with drought.


Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel, for the Lord shall enter into judgment with the inhabitants of the land: for there is no truth, and there is no mercy, and there is no knowledge of God in the land.


Cursing, and lying, and killing, and theft, and adultery have overflowed, and blood hath touched blood.


Who is a God like to thee, who takest away iniquity, and passest by the sin of the remnant of thy inheritance? he will send his fury in no more, because he delighteth in mercy.


Thou wilt perform the truth of Jacob, the mercy to Abraham: which thou hast sworn to our fathers from the days of old.


In that day I will make the governors of Juda like a furnace of fire amongst wood, and as a firebrand amongst hay: and they shall devour all the people round about, to the right hand, and to the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place in Jerusalem.


In that day shall the Lord protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and he that hath offended among them in that day shall be as David: and the house of David, as that of God, as an angel of the Lord in their sight.


And the Lord shall possess Juda his portion in the sanctified land: and he shall yet choose Jerusalem.


And the Lord will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because the Lord hath sworn to make you his people.
