Phetrusim also, and Casluim: from whom came the Philistines, and Caphtorim.


God, whose wrath no mall can resist, and under whom they stoop that bear up the world.


And they that sought my soul used violence. And they that sought evils to me spoke vain things, and studied deceits all the day long.


What will you do in the day of visitation, and of the calamity which cometh from afar? To whom will ye flee for help? And where will ye leave your glory?


Howl, O gate: cry, O city. All Philistia is thrown down: for a smoke shall come from the north, and there is none that shall escape his troop.


And the inhabitants of this isle shall say in that day: Lo, this was our hope, to whom we fled for help, to deliver up from the face of the king of the Assyrians. And how shall we be able to escape?


And the Assyrian shall fall by the sword, not of a man, and the sword, not of a man, shall devour him: and he shall flee, not at the face of the sword. And his young men shall be tributaries.


For this is the day of the Lord the God of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may revenge himself of his enemies. The sword shall devour and shall be filled and shall be drunk with their blood: for there is a sacrifice of the Lord God of hosts in the north country, by the river Euphrates.


But thou profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, that hath been appointed in the time of iniquity:


Whilst they see vain things in thy regard and divine lies: to bring thee upon the necks of the wicked that are wounded, whose appointed day is come in the time of iniquity.


Therefore thus saith the Lord God: Behold, I will stretch forth my hand upon the Philistines and will kill the killers and will destroy the remnant of the sea coast.


And they shall know that I am the Lord: when I shall have set a fire in Egypt, and all the helpers thereof shall be destroyed.


The time is come, the day is at hand: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the people thereof.


The days of visitation are come, the days of repaying are come: know ye, O Israel, that the prophet was foolish, the spiritual man was mad, for the multitude of thy iniquity, and the multitude of thy madness.


Are not you as the children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel, saith the Lord? did not I bring up Israel, out of the land of Egypt: and the Philistines out of Cappadocia, and the Syrians out of Cyrene?


For these are the days of vengeance, that all things may be fulfilled, that are written.


The Hevites also, that dwelt in Haserim as far as Gaza, were expelled by the Cappadocians: who came out of Cappadocia, and destroyed them, and dwelt in their stead.


And when Phinees the priest, and the princes of the embassage, who were with him, had heard this, they were satisfied: and they admitted most willingly the words of the children of Ruben, and Gad and of the half tribe of Manasses.
